NDA 1 2024 Notification: Overview

The NDA exam is conducted twice a year and both male and female candidates can appear in the NDA exam. NDA 1 exam will be conducted on 21st April 2024 and NDA 2 is scheduled for 1st September 2024. As for eligibility, individuals aged between 16.5 and 19.5 years who have completed Class 12th or are in the process of appearing for the Class 12th exam are eligible to apply for the NDA 1 2024 Notification. NDA Eligibility Criteria 2024

Aspirants should carefully review the NDA Eligibility Criteria before proceeding with the application process. It is imperative to ensure that candidates fulfill the specified NDA eligibility requirements, as applications from individuals who do not meet these criteria will be declined. Candidates aspiring to apply for this position must be unmarried individuals, both male and female. To be considered eligible, candidates must satisfy the following eligibility conditions.

A) Nationality

To be eligible for NDA, candidates must be either:

  • a citizen of India, or
  • a subject of Nepal, or
  • a subject of Bhutan
  • a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before January 1, 1962, to permanently settle in India,
    or
  • a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, and East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, and Ethiopia or Vietnam intending to permanently settle in India.

For the Army Wing of the National Defence Academy

Candidates who wish to apply must have a 12th Class pass from School Education or an equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy

Candidates must be 12th Class pass with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

NDA Exam Pattern 2024

The National Defence Academy (NDA) examination comprises two stages: the written examination and the Services Selection Board (SSB) interview. After the NDA Cut Off is been released, candidates proceed to the SSB interview round conducted by the UPSC.
